Es kommt einem manchmal vor als hätte man den Großteil hier, im Gleichschritt Richtung Schwachsinn geschickt. Oder anders ausgedrückt: manche Tierschutzsituation ist nur erklärbar durch Spenders “Hirnamputationen”!
Das mag jetzt “böse” klingen und betrifft sicher nicht alle, aber ihr lieben Spender und Unterstützer macht doch mal den Kopf an!

Da reicht manch einem schon ein Bild von einem „armen“ Hund, und schon wird gespendet.
Hier spielt es keine Rolle WER oder WAS hinter dem Aufruf steht.
Das wird alles schon richtig sein…wird ja gepostet!
Außerdem, was gibt es da zu kritisieren? Ich mach doch was Gutes!

BIST DU SICHER?

Ein Beispiel hierfür ist z.B. ein Tierheim bzw. ehem. Tötungsstation in Rumänien.Nach einem Brand wurde dort für Spenden aufgerufen…und es wurde gespendet….und wie!!
Aktuell ist das Tierheim mit ca. 700 Hunden „gefüllt“, nur leider ist es für die Hundeanzahl nicht ausgestattet. Was passiert wohl dort, wenn viel zu viele Hunde in einem kleinen Zwinger gehalten werden und kaum Futter vorhanden ist ??
Wir verzichten hier auf Erklärungen um die Tierschutzromantiker auf Ihrer rosaroten Wolke nicht zu stören. Nur für die Hunde dort ist es alles andere als rosarot!!
„Dem Spender sei Dank!“
Ein weiteres Beispiel ist ein Foto eines furchtbar verwahrlosten Hundes aus Rumänien (oder Bulgarien, Ungarn,etc.), der so dringend gerettet werden muss. Dass dieser Hund schon längst tot ist, wissen viele nicht und der “Foto-Poster” lacht sich ins Fäustchen und freut sich über die Spenden der “dummen Ausländer”!
Ein drittes Beispiel betrifft die “ach so tollen Tierschützer”, vorwiegend in Osteuropa, die wahl- und zahlos Hunde “einsammeln” oder aus Tötungen retten und in ihre Häuser oder illegalen Auffangstationen stopfen und die Hunde dort nicht weniger leiden, wie vorher!
Wir hätten noch etliche Beispiele…

Jeder der sich hier angesprochen fühlt…egal ob Spender oder Mitunterstützer, kann sich auf die Schulter klopfen weil genau das unterstützt wurde was wir und andere Vereine eigentlich zu verhindern versuchen.
Also nochmal im Namen der Hunde,ein „großes Dankeschön“ !!

Anmerkung: Es gibt auch viele GUTE Tierschützer und Tierheime in Ost-Europa! Aber genau DAS ist der springende Punkt- die werden viel weniger unterstützt, als die “schwarzen Schafe”!

Was ist Tierschutz?
Tierschutz ist Nothilfe!!…nicht mehr und nicht weniger!!

Es hat nichts damit zu tun….durch Spendengeld aufgebaute Tierheime wie ein Guantanamo voll zu stopfen.
Es hat nichts damit zu tun…Hunde von der Straße zu fangen oder aus Tötungsstationen zu holen und sie anschließend Jahre (!) in z.B.privaten Tierheimen in viel zu kleinen Zwinger zu halten, und das bei völliger Überbelegung.

Für uns ist das KEIN Tierschutz, sondern Tierquälerei!!

Ein Rettungsboot das 50 Menschen Platz bietet, kann keine 100 Menschen aufnehmen.
Hier stellt sich auch nicht die Frage ob wir das schön finden, sondern wie man vorbeugt.

TIERSCHUTZ FÜR STRAßENHUNDE IST OHNE KASTRATIONSPROJEKTE KEIN TIERSCHUTZ!

Tierschützer die Jahrzehnte NACHHALTIGEN Tierschutz betreiben ( arbeiten mit der Stadt und/oder Vereinen zusammen, machen Kastrationprojekte, betreiben Aufklärung in Schulen und schaffen Veränderungen in ihrem Land!),bekommen kaum oder fast gar keine Spenden….WARUM?
Vielleicht weil Sie sich nicht an den Panikaufrufen mit Beigeschmack beteiligen.
Vielleicht weil Sie durch Ihre gute Arbeit keine Bilder von gequälten Tieren posten können.
Vielleicht weil Sie sich nicht ständig neue Hunde von der Straße „besorgen“….sondern sich eher auf das Wesentliche konzentrieren – nämlich Tierschutz!

und ein Spendenaufruf für eine Kastration…

Was meint Ihr welcher Aufruf am meisten Spendengeld einbringt?
Wenn jeder von euch ehrlich ist, brauchen wir die Antwort nicht geben….
Und welcher von den drei Aufrufen ist wohl der nachhaltigste?
Auch die Antwort können wir uns sparen!

Nur soviel, wer zu den ersten beiden tendiert, sollte sich ernsthaft überlegen, ob er was gutes für den Tierschutz machen möchte…und einfach aufhört !!

Ob wir das schön finden was wir hier schreiben…ganz bestimmt nicht.
Aber es ist so wie bei unserem Beispiel mit dem Rettungsboot:

Wir können nicht allen helfen, und genau deswegen dürfen wir den Fokus nicht verlieren.

Ihr, die Spender und Unterstützer, habt es in der Hand!
Ihr könnt viel Gutes erreichen, aber auch viel Leid und Elend unterstützen und verbreiten!
Seit euch der Verantwortung bewusst!

The Animal Welfare Catastrophy!

• Sometimes it does feel like most of us have been sent marching towards idiocy. In other words: some situations in animal protection can only be explained by brain-dead donors! This may sound “mean“ and surely does not apply to everyone, but dear donors and helpers – please use your brains and think!

  One picture of a “poor“ dog is enough and the donations are on their way. It does not matter WHO or WHAT is behind the appeal for help. “It’s posted, so it must be right! Also, what’s there to criticise? I’ve done something good after all!“

  ARE YOU SURE?

  For example, let’s take a look at a public shelter and former killing centre. After a fire they called out for help… and the donations came… oh and how!!

  Right now the shelter is “filled” with about 700 dogs, though unfortunately it is not meant to hold this many dogs. Now let’s guess what is going to happen when a kennel is crammed with too many dogs and barely any food at all??

  We’ll pass on the details in order to not disturb the animal welfare romanticists on their pink and rosy clouds. It’s just too bad that the reality these dogs have to face is everything BUT rosy!!

  “Thanks to the donors!”

  Another example is a photo of an incredibly neglected dog from Romania (or Bulgaria, Hungary, etc…) who oh so urgently needs to be rescued.

  What many do not know is that this dog is long dead and the uploader of this picture laughs their head off while happily counting the money the “stupid foreigners” sent!

  Another example refers to the „oh so amazing animal rescuers“, mainly in Eastern Europe, who blindly collect dogs in abundance or „save“ them from death row and cram them into their houses or illegal “refuges”, where the dogs do not suffer any less than before!

  We could easily come up with quite a number of other examples…

  Does the shoe fit? If you feel addressed to, regardless whether donor or active supporter, you may now proudly congratulate yourself for supporting exactly what we and others try to prevent.

  So once again on behalf of the dogs: „thanks a bunch“ !!

  General remark: there ARE good animal welfarists and shelters in Eastern Europe! THIS is exactly our point, though – they are barely supported in comparison to the ”black sheep”!

  What is animal welfare? Animal welfare means assistance in an emergency!! No more, no less!!

  Cramming shelters full with dogs like a Guantanamo, mostly built through donations, has got NOTHING to do with animal welfare!! Taking dogs off the streets or out of killing centres just to keep them locked up in private shelters where they bide their time in way too tiny kennels has got NOTHING to do with animal welfare!!

  For us, this definitely is NO animal welfare, but animal cruelty!!

  A life boat designed to hold 50 people cannot take in 100. The question is not whether we like it, but how to prevent it.

  ANIMAL WELFARE FOR STRAY DOGS WITHOUT NEUTERING PROJECTS IS NO ANIMAL WELFARE!

  Animal welfarists who have been active in sustainable welfare (who cooperate with the city administration and/or non-profit organisations, conduct neutering projects, educate in schools and create change in their respective countries!) barely receive any donations or none at all – WHY?

  Perhaps because they don’t take part in appeals that spread panic. Perhaps because they don’t have any pictures of tortured animals to post due to their good work. Perhaps because they don’t take one dog after the other from the streets, but focus on the bare essentials – animal welfare!

  A call for help with photos of cute puppies… A call for help with photos of tortured dogs… And an appeal for spaying…

  What do you think? Which appeal will receive most help, most donations? If everyone’s honest with themselves, we won’t have to give the answer. Now, which of the three could possibly be the most sustainable? Again, we won’t need to give you the answer!

  To be frank, whoever tends to the first two should seriously consider whether he wants to do something good for animal welfare … and just stop!!

  Do we like what we write here? Absolutely not. Though it is like our example with the lifeboat: We cannot help all, and that’s why we must not lose focus.

  You, the donors and active supporters, got it in hand! You can accomplish a lot, unfortunately also support a lot of agony and misery.

  Be conscious of your responsibility!
